Hi there, thanks for visiting A New Leaf.

There are so many reasons that books are crucial to a young person’s development: they stimulate brains, inspire, increase vocabulary, provide knowledge, engage imagination and improve concentration. Also proven to reduce stress, improve sleep and enhance mental well-being too.

Whether your child is an avid reader or a budding writer A New Leaf provides a friendly and supportive environment enabling conversations about words. A virtual book club, designed to encourage reading of all sorts, explore different genres, develop creative writing skills, share great books and recommend authors. There are different groups for different ages and abilities.

My name is Sam. I home-schooled my two children all the way to sixth form and then they were both accepted into Cambridge University. Our home-schooling approach encouraged lots of reading, and included working around dyslexia for one of my children.

I love books of all kinds: novels, children’s stories, picture books, biographies, illustrated poetry, travel memoirs, self-help and motivational books…
